The Challenge of Demand
Everything points towards that the current tendency of unstoppable demand is going to continue during the coming decades, due to the economic growth in developed countries as well as the increasing protagonism of developing countries.
According to the experts, energy production, like the demand, will continue focusing on fossil fuels. Unfortunately, at the moment, an economically viable alternative that would provide a significant energy substitute does not seem possible in the short term.
Clearly the combination of limited resources, which face an ever increasing demand but insufficient production to meet consumption tendencies, should produce tensions in the global economy, thus possibly affecting the regulations that we know today and our current life style.
The Bankinter Foundation of Innovation invites you to its VI Conference Cycle based on “Energy: The Challenge of Demand” on the 16th of November. Based on the knowledge of International experts, this is an occasion to become familiar with possible business opportunities that the new energy perspective shall offer to many sectors.
